Communications and Marketing Coordinator
Reports to Chief Executive Officer
We are looking for an energetic, organized and capable person who enjoys multi-tasking and working in a team environment. This person must believe in the mission of I-GO Car Sharing and have a strong background in communications, public relations, and marketing. They must have excellent writing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Implement external communications strategy
- Manage and maintain all IGO website content
- Manage and maintain IGO blog
- Create monthly newsletter
- Create member communications templates
- Provide content to partners and others
- Manage all collateral and other internally created communications pieces
- Manage member surveys
- Work with team to create and execute marketing strategy and budget
- Coordinate with graphic design and public relations consultants
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years prior related experience.
- Excellent written communication and phone skills.
- Creative self-starter
- Strong Background in promotional and journalistic writing
- Ability to work as part of a team, while retaining individual accountability.
- Must appreciate small business atmosphere and non-profit culture of I-GO car sharing.
- Positive, fun attitude
- Knowledge of Chicago neighborhoods and media and marketing venues
- College degree

EARN EXTRA CASH/DRIVING CREDITS
Adopt-A-Car Guardians help us keep our cars clean and in good operating
condition. Responsibilities include removing snow in the winter, filling up cars
with gas, going through a safety checklist on a periodic basis and making sure
that our rack cards are on display and well stocked in our cars and at our parking
spaces.
Neighborhood Champions post and hand out flyers to commuters and businesses,
set up membership drives, gain press coverage, send out mass emails and more.
We are currently looking for Neighborhood Champions in Bronzeville, South Shore,
Chinatown, Oak Park, West Loop, River West, East Garfield Park and Pilsen. We
are also looking for members who can flyer during rush hour (7am-9am) and/or (4pm-6pm)
in Printers Row, Wicker Park and Hyde Park.
Event Volunteers help us spread the word about I-GO at events including
summer festivals and membership drives. Please visit our Events
