I-GO Car Sharing participates in and supports community-based and eco-conscious events and programs in Chicago, Evanston and Oak Park. We encourage you to get involved and support the following events in your neighborhood. We also host many of our own events, from membership drives to partnership programs with I-GO business members and Chi-Town Rewards participants. If you’d like to volunteer for an event, and help I-GO spread the word about the myriad benefits of sustainable transportation, contact Sheena@igocars.org to join our volunteer network. You’ll benefit yourself: I-GO members earn one hour in driving credit for every hour they volunteer.

FamilyFarmed EXPO

We’ll be cultivating I-GO memberships and digging into tasty green eats this Saturday and Sunday at the 2008 FamilyFarmed EXPO, a three-day gathering of Chicago-area fans of locally grown and responsibly produced food and artisanal goods. Join the crowd and join the fun! Friday’s plenary and seminar sessions feature business-to-business connections. (A “Localicious Party” takes place from 7pm to 10pm Friday night. It’s $50 online, $60 onsite, and will tempt localvores with scrumptious local food and libations, plus great networking opportunities.) Saturday and Sunday are jam-packed with cooking demos and interactive seminars and Kid’s Corner. More than 120 exhibitors will offer a wide selection of local food, gifts and lots of useful info. I-GO’s Annual Green Holiday Extravaganza

In what’s become one of our fave annual traditions, I-GO will once again host a free holiday party for our members, complete with tasty chow, delectable libations, and, of course, sweet raffle prizes. Meet the I-GO staff and other members, check out our green-building offices, and fuel up on some holiday cheer, including the new I-GO Green Mojito and other eco-friendly cocktails courtesy of VeeV!
